2. Attendance: Board Members present: Larry Johnson, President and tournament director Jay Gomez, Corporate Fundraising Teresa Gaims, Secretary Phil Furniss, Field Coordinator 3. Approval of Minutes: April 16, 2007 minutes approved. 4. Presidents Report - Larry Johnson: Ambronzino is doing seeding now, finalized in July. Y League has been going on for a few weeks. Breakers has had to write checks for referees and keep record of it as the referee coordinator cannot do it. Y League payments have been coming in from teams. Breakers cup have been receiving applications. Over 30 applications have been received. 5. Coaching Director Report- Paolo Carbone: ODP program may not provide the players with the best opportunity for being seen and could distract from the Breakers program. Parents need this information as well as information about opportunities within the Breakers program. There is one more week left in the academy, which has gone well. U18 girls and boys have come together. Good feedback from NPL opener at Cabrillo. 6. Communication Director, Matt McDowell: Continued discussion of US Club vs. Ambronzino. NPL contact will be up on site, stats, etc. 7. Treasurer, Gary Redenbacher: We will be tight financially unless we make all our income projections. There is an unfortunate issue with the IRS. This could be a $3000.00 problem. Two people have donated money to cover for a team that hasn't paid yet. Players who traveled to Florida have been paid. 8. Kim Graff, registrar New system has been up for a month. It is very time-consuming. And, changes to the roster cannot be made. The system is not up to make transfers. Teams need three adults officially on roster. Travel papers don't require league or district approval anymore. License verification is happening at the state level, not the district level. Michelle is one of only 3 approved district II registrars and is asking for more money for one year while she verifies birth certificates for the new system. 9. Michelle Lee, Fundraising Director A dozen teams have gotten their uniforms. Waiting for more gear. 10. Phil Furniss, Field Coordinator Polo Grounds and Anna Jean have some games scheduled. Phil would like the current practice schedule for the teams. Phil needs to make some cancellations. We need to get out of Good Shepherd contract after the next year. They are raising fee to $23 an hour, which would raise our costs enormously. 11. Jay Gomez, Corporate Fundraising October 11, a Thursday, is set for the golf tournament. Pasatiempo is the chosen site. The dinner will be the main fundraiser. Jay will contact Gary for the payment for the academy coaches. 12. Next meeting was set for June 11th.
