Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

1. Call to order by Larry Johnson at 7:25 PM+
2. Attendance: Members present:

Larry Johnson, President
Phil Furniss, Field Coordinator
Matt McDowell, Communications Director
Paolo Carbone, Coaching Director
Larry Busch, Vice-President
Larry Biggam, Class III Liaison
Michelle Lee, Fundraising Director
Bob Evans, Treasurer
Rich Rhode, Referee Coordinator

3. President's Report Larry Johnson
1. Minutes approval June 7, 2006. Motion to approve was seconded. Approved unanimously

2. League Meeting Update - There have been changes with Board positions.

3. Scholarship applications - 68 applications received for CYSA fee assistance. Motion was made to limit CSYA and/or Super Y League scholarships to 6 per team. Passed and seconded. Approved unanimously.

4. Two teams (U20 and U16 boys) are going on to Nationals for Y League that need Club support for travel and lodging.

5. A motion was made to support each team that qualifies for venues for SYL Nationals, US Club Nationals, or CYSA Regionals in the $1000-2500 range, depending on Club fiscal health and team financial obligation with respective league. Motion to approve was seconded. Approved unanimously

6. It was moved and approved for the U20 team for $2500 and U16 (Boys 89 Blue) for $1000. Motion to approve was seconded. Approved unanimously

4. Coaching Directors Report - Paolo Carbone
1. Team updates given.
2. Camp updates. Unsure how much will come in for camp fees on the boys side.
3. Coach updates. The 89 Boys White coach requested to be reimbursed for his National B License. A motion was made to award him $700 for NSCAA National Diploma. Motion to approve was seconded. Approved unanimously
4. A motion made to if a coach is in the club for 3 years, there will be automatic reimbursement for coach license tuition for a National license if they pass the course. Motion to approve was seconded. Approved unanimously
5. A Breaker Academy Training narrative with dates was distributed to the Board and will be posted on our website.
6. Coaching License status and update given

5. Ambronzino League Update and Vice Presidents Report - Larry Busch
1. Seating meeting review for the Fall season

6. Field Coordinator Report - Phil Furniss
1. Practice schedule to be posted on the website for summer/fall season

7. Fundraising Director - Michelle Lee
1. Status given on Breaker gear and web orders

8. Treasurer's Report - Bob Evans
1. Year to date budget reviewed for Y League and CYSA. He needs a preliminary assessment for 2007 SYL Teams and Paolo will provide.

9. Referee Coordinator Report - Rich Rhode
1. Nothing to report

10. Website update - Matt McDowell
1. Brief update given.

11. Insurance Update- Larry Biggam
1. Insurance forms arrived and will be given to Larry Johnson

12. Corporate Fundraising - Jay Gomez
1. Oct 13 set aside for golf tournament at DeLaviega and ready to be posted on our website.
