3. Approval of Minutes:
August 13, 2006; Minutes approved.
4. President’s Report: Larry Johnson:
At county meeting, coaching licensing was discussed, but it doesn’t affect Class I as much as Class III.
Board approves Kristin Murphy as coach for the Breakers.
AGM – Want to schedule for November 14, 7:00 at Shoreline.
5. Jay Gomez, Corporate Fundraising
Is Communication happening with teams? We need more participation from families. There needs to be more positive communication with teams from coaches, managers, etc.
Breaker’s Academy had first session. It went really well, with only 3 teams per session. The kids had a great time. The coaching is high quality. And creativity and passion are emphasized. It would be helpful in the future to have a way to manage Breaker’s equipment at Cabrillo College.
6. Rich Rohde, Ref Coordinator
There is a ref clinic this weekend. There are 46 college students signed up. They are motivated and will provide a good pool of refs.
7. Larry Busch, Vice President
New coaches need to be registered. We need to make sure that we follow the proper channels.
8. Kim Graff- registrar
Registration is completed.
7. Matt McDowell, Communications Director
Site is up to date. Stories are up quickly. Teams pages are in the works.
9. Michelle Lee- Volunteer Coordinator
10. Phil Furniss- Field Coordinator
There may need to be last minute changes at Cabrillo depending on Cabrillo College use. Fields are overused; rain could be a problem. Breakers need to make sure that our relationship with Cabrillo stays positive and that fields are taken care of.
11. Mark Hogenhout-D3 coordinator
Mark will hold a training session with the Jaws U14 G, making connections with that DIII team.
